      I don’t think it has become necessary to give it a specific Akan (Twi) name so the borrowed West African name of Jollof rice is used.
      I have updated the Akan (Twi) name.

   I am Gullah Geechee from the Charleston, SC. Recently, I have exploring the origin of Jollof rice & Gullah red rice.
